Don't worry OP, you're doing it right. The infiltrator was never intended to utilize primaries.

Because there is only one item in the game that disables just the primary weapon and that is the stalker cloak, just like its clarification says.
However, its common that people don't read the item description and then also practice non utilise the search function, which leads to a frequent advent of a thread forth the line of "why is my master weapon blocked".

Playing a Stalker Infiltrator can be a lot of fun, and if yous are looking for the all-time 'sniper' cloak.. then Hunter is the way to go.

And then apply it, get yourself a nice pistol and simply mess with people. Crouch in the centre of rooms or in weird spots and shoot people in the back. A silenced pistol helps a fleck but I was using a commissioner for a while if you kill rapidly you should be able to cloak back upwards before your target'southward buddies realize where you are
Edit: another very useful play tricks you tin can apply is to sneak into a base, preferably the base your faction volition attack side by side(although it's still useful for bases already under attack), avoid capture points then you don't let them know you're in the base of operations. Find a vehicle terminal, hack it, spawn a sunderer.

The Stalker Infiltrator isn't easy. You will die often. However, single well played Stalker can tie down an unabridged squad of hostiles and hold a point which gives your team mates time needed to regroup and win the day. Or ifyou're a solo role player, Stalkers are super fun to harrass people with, getting kill after kill and watching people freak out looking for y'all.
